Grad Fellow/Changemaker at FIU
Janessa Collins is a Grad Fellow and Changemaker at Florida International University for Educate Tomorrow.
She was raised by her grandparents with her 6 other siblings and limited resources and opportunities. Even as a small child, she had a big heart. As a youth, Janessa was introduced to Educate Tomorrow and has been involved in several opportunities offered by the organization. Evolving from a student on The Spring Break College Tour to becoming a chaperone on the same tour, as well as, participating in the P3 program, being a ChangeMaker, and other student leadership roles.
Janessa earned her Associate in Arts degree in Social Work from Miami Dade College and is continuing her education at Florida International University majoring in Industrial-Organizational Psychology. Her compassion influences her to encourage others to optimize their individual value.
