Program Success Coach

We address the barriers of educational attainment through college readiness and alternative education programs by integrating activities designed to support the holistic needs of current/former foster youth and those experiencing housing insecurity.
In this role, you will manage up to 60 program participants and provide support for their individual care needs. The program Success Coach is responsible for the outreach, recruitment, screening, orientation and referral of participants to external agencies/providers. You are required to maintain regular contact with assigned program participants, family members and manage relationships with internal team members and relevant agencies (schools and community-based organizations). You will assist in the coordination and support for organization activities and events; and assist in developing and implementing the curriculum for the program. You are required to administer the CANS assessment for program participants, enter notes into document tracking system(s) and maintain qualitative data in good standing. The Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) is a multi-purpose tool developed forchildren’s services to support decision making, including level of care and serviceplanning, to facilitate quality improvement initiatives, and to allow for the monitoring of outcomes of services.
Annual hours will be approximately 1,400 hours of direct individualized success coaching, 200 hours of group coaching and life skills and 400 hours of admin duties (data entry and planning).
Program Success Coach Requirements:
Qualified candidates must have:
Masters degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work or related field
(1) Year of work experience in non-profit sector, social services and care support
- OR -
Bachelors degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work or related field (3+) Years of work experience in non-profit sector, social services and care support
Ideal candidates must have:
Strong leadership abilities, effective communication/problem-solving skills, be highly self-motivated, organized and resourceful.
- Be able to work independently and part of a collaborative team when project planning.
- Demonstrate a passion for youth development and have knowledge of the foster care system, community resources, McKinney Vento programs, public school systems, dual enrollment, and Florida colleges/universities.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
