Makenson Lamour is a dedicated advocate for underprivileged youth, combining a diverse educational background with extensive experience in program management and STEM education. His academic credentials include a Bachelor's in Political Science with a minor in Public Administration from Florida International University, an MBA, and an LLM in Intercultural Human Rights Law from Saint Thomas University.
In his role as Senior Program Director at the YMCA of South Florida, Makenson oversaw crucial programs across multiple high schools. He ensured the delivery of high-quality after-school and summer programs, directly impacting students' lives through academic and career guidance.
As a STEM Grant Coordinator at Miami Dade College, Makenson significantly enhanced STEM program enrollment and persistence rates. He organized impactful events, mentored students, and managed key partnerships to promote STEM education and create opportunities for underprivileged youth.
